Mary (Spriggs) Balzer, age 93, of Jackson, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021. She was born September 17, 1927 to the late Lora Mae and Clarence Spriggs of Jackson.
She graduated Jackson High School in 1944. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren P. Balzer and one son, Raymond Balzer. She is survived by daughter Debra Evans (Randy) of Jackson, son John Balzer (Susan) of Frankfort, Ohio and daughter Barbara Miller (Brian) of Kingston, Ohio. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
It was Mary’s request that no services be observed at the time of her passing. Following cremation, she requested her ashes be placed beside her husband at Beaver Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Jackson City Library, 21 Broadway St, Jackson, OH 45640. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson.
