Marvin Keller, age 84, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, July 14, 2020.  He was born March 23, 1936 in Minford, Ohio to the late Oren and Serena (Parker) Keller.

Marvin served four years in the United States Navy during the Korean War, aboard the USS Oriskany.  Upon his honorable discharge he entered into the field of agriculture with his father-in-law, the late Merritt Weber.  He attended Portsmouth Business College to further his agricultural education and was employed by Super Sweet Foods, Ralston, Purina, Borden Chemical, and was the CEO of Honigar Foods in Illinois.

While working at Borden Chemical, he furthered his love of food service by developing a pizza dough recipe and opening a restaurant called “Time Out Pizza,” which he successfully ran with his wife, Donna for five years in Ashville, Ohio before moving back to Jackson, Ohio to help care for family and eventually helping maintain the Weber Farm.

In the 1980s, Marvin served as Jackson County Commissioner for two terms.  He truly loved the community and people of Jackson County.

In his spare time, Marvin loved country music, sports (football, baseball and basketball), and NASCAR racing.  He never met a stranger and believed in charitable contributions to many organizations.  He loved life and often said he had lived a wonderful one.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Donna (Weber) Keller to cherish his memory; two children, LeeAnn (Mark) Knewasser and Duane (Frieda) Keller; two granddaughters, Lindsay (Stephen) Foreman and Allison (Jeffrey) Edwards; and three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Mila and Zachary.  He also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Merritt and Fannie Mae (Preston) Weber; an infant daughter, Terri Renee; his brothers, Paul and Carl Keller; sister, Helen (Keller) Creech; and also, three brothers-in-law, James H. Weber, George “Eddie Pete” Weber and Emerson Creech.
