Marsha Lynn (Myers) Longberry

Marsha Lynn (Myers) Longberry, age 67, of Marion, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Marion General Hospital after a brief illness.

 Marsha was born on Sept. 5, 1951 in Oak Hill, Ohio, to the late Hayden Dennis and Edna Maxine (McDonald) Myers. Marsha attended school in Jackson, Ohio where she graduated from Jackson High School in 1969. 

 Marsha married Steven Carl Longberry; together they spent 36 years together raising their family and taking motorcycle trips across the country. They enjoyed riding their Gold Wing through the Blue Ridge Parkway, weekend trips to Little Nashville, Indiana and Canada. 

 Marsha worked for Fulfillment Corporation of America in various roles and retired in 1999 as a statistic clerk. After retirement, Marsha enjoyed spending her free time playing cards, on Thursdays, at The Marion Senior Center.  Most importantly, Marsha loved her children and grandchildren. She made sure to attend every event possible including marching band, football and basketball games. Marsha enjoyed cheering on her grandson at The Special Olympics especially if it involved The Polar Plunge. 

 Marsha will be missed by her husband Steven; children, Michele (John) Slavens-Manering of Grove City and Rob (Stephanie) Slavens of Marion; and grandchildren, Colton, Chase, Dalton, Dylan, and Jennalynn.

 Marsha was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis “Darrel” Myers.

 Visitation will be held Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 4 until 6 pm at Snyder Funeral Homes, Gunder/Hall Chapel, 347 W. Center St., Marion.  A funeral service honoring Marsha will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. with Celebrant Galen McLeod officiating.  Burial will take place Friday in the Fairmont Cemetery, in Jackson, Ohio, at 1 p.m.
