Mark Eugene Wyant

Mark Wyant, age 60 , passed away unexpectedly at his home at the Cambrian, on Sunday, September 18, 2016. He was born on July 9, 1956, to the late Wib and Marti (Longlott) Wyant. He was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Kathy.

Mark and his faithful canine friend, Sammie, were well known in Jackson County. Mark never met a stranger. No matter how bad he felt from the cancer in his body, he always had a big smile and a story to tell.

He was a former employee of Columbus Col-Weld when they were located in Jackson. He was a social member at the Jackson VFW.

He is survived by his sister, Diane Black, her sons Tony Wood and Brandon Black, his daughters Rachael (Matt) Dunbar, grandson Austin age 13, grand-daughter Shanice age 22 (Brian) Taufer and their daughter Sophia age 1, his daughter Sarah Hooker and her son Benjamin age 10. He is also survived by his cousin that he dearly loved, Nan and her husband Don Allen.

The family will receive friends at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Thursday, September 22, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Jackson County Dog Pound, 275 Portsmouth Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
