Marion F. Hill, Sr., age 90, of Lewisburg, OH, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. He was born December 11, 1923 in Wellston, OH to the late Biscoe and Missouri Hill. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served as a paratrooper during WW II; and he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He retired from D.P.& L. where he spent most years as a lineman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Marie Hill, who passed away June 19, 2011; infant daughter Peggy; son-in-law John A. Hoover; and sister Florence Genicks.
He is survived by his children, Herbert L. Hill of New Carlisle, OH, Sandra M. Hoover of Lewisburg, OH, Marion Franklin (Barbara) Hill, Jr. of Des Plaines, IL, Kris Madelyn (Larry) Connell of West Manchester, OH and Gary L. Hill of West Milton, OH; brothers, Joe (Freda) Hill of Reynoldsburg, OH and Darrell (Joy) Hill of Groveport, OH; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; other family members Carla Hill Jennings of West Milton, OH and Carolyn Hill of Huber Heights, OH; sisters-in-law Katy Kisor of Ironton, OH and Marlene Kisor of Wellston, OH; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral services at 12 p.m. (noon) at the Girton Schmidt & Boucher Gard Funeral Home, 226 West Main Street, Eaton, OH.
