Margie Waugh

Margie M. Waugh, 97, of Wellston, passed away on Tuesday, July 13 at Jenkins Care Community in Wellston. She was born on January 12, 1924, in Vinton County, Ohio, daughter of the late Arnold and Minnie (Leitch) Wilbur. Margie worked for the Hercules Trouser Co. in Wellston for several years. She was married to the late Harold E. Waugh for 62 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, and feeding and watching the birds and squirrels. She liked baking desserts of all kinds, but she especially loved baking cakes for her grandkids. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sons, Guy (Carol) Waugh and Warren (Lu Ann) Waugh; three grandchildren: Tony (Fiancé Casey) Waugh, Teresa (Ryan) McFadden, and Chris Waugh; four great-grandchildren: Paige (Fiancé Austin), Konlyn, Grace, and Teagan; two great-great-grandchildren: Kemper and Karsyn; two brothers, Bob Wilbur, and Vance Wilbur; two sisters, Virginia Mosic, and Elizabeth Wolfe; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Margie was preceded in death by four brothers: John, Guy, Kenny and Jim.

A funeral service celebrating Margie’s life will be held on Friday, July 16, at 1 p.m., in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, located at 120 W. Broadway St. in Wellston, with Pastor John Pelletier officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery, Wellston. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again on Friday one hour prior to services from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
