Margaret Alyce Crawford

Margaret Alyce Crawford, 97, of Springfield, passed away in her home on Sunday afternoon, March 18, 2018. She was born in Springfield on June 30, 1920, the daughter of the late Earl and Margaret (Mathias) Ramsey.

Although born in Springfield, her family soon moved to Wellston, Ohio and she graduated from Wellston High School. Margaret retired from the Dolly Madison Bakery on S. Yellow Springs Street. She and her husband, Eugene sang with the Liedertafel Singers and she was a member of the Wimoba Mothers Club.

Margaret is survived by a daughter, Jeannine (Ron) Taylor, with whom she made her home; grandson, Charles (Allison) Taylor; great-grandson, Nathan Taylor; a dear nephew, Bob Needles; and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Crawford in 1989; a daughter, Lucretia Crawford; sister, Lucille Needles; and brothers, Earl Bayne Ramsey, John Ramsey and infant, Robert Ramsey.
