Lucille I. DeStephen, 88, of Oak Street, Jackson, Ohio, died peacefully in her sleep Thursday, November 3rd, 2016 at her home.

Born December 11th, 1927 in Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna Sedlock.

She and her late husband, Arthur DeStephen Sr., were married for 52 wonderful years. They owned and operated Appalachia Realty in Jackson until 1999. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society.

She is survived by four sons: Raymond (Nola) DeStephen of Montpelier, Virginia, Anthony (Diane) DeStephen of Jackson, Ohio, Arthur (Donna) DeStephen Jr. of Redondo Beach, California, and Michael (Debbie) DeStephen of Rolling Hills Estates, California; two daughters: Kathleen (Daryl) Terry of Jackson, Ohio and Jennifer Jacobs of Jackson, Ohio; one sister, Mary Ann (Bob) Earley of Texas; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, two sisters, and her son-in-law, Ed Jacobs.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 6th, 2016 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with a Catholic wake service following at 6:30 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 7th, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
