Linda J. Merrill, age 69, of Huber Heights, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, at the home of her son in Jackson. She was born Oct. 2, 1947 in Payne Gap, Kentucky to the late Dick L. Johnson and Valma E. Whitaker Johnson.
Linda was a 1965 graduate of Wellston High School and she was a licensed insurance agent. Linda, an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals, enjoyed watching football and basketball, as well as going bowling.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Melissa Merrill of Jackson; granddaughters, Haley Merrill and Hannah Merrill, both of Jackson; brothers, Gary Johnson and Jerry Johnson, both of Jackson and several nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon R. Merrill, in 2013.
Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with John Pelletier, CLP officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
