Lenora E. Perkins

Lenora E. Perkins, age 92, of Wellston, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at her home. She was born August 7, 1921 in Vinton County, Ohio to the late Ray and Vera Beabout Morris. Lenora was a 1939 graduate of Washington Township School. She retired from Hercules Trouser Company, also known as the Pants Factory, where she was employed for 41-1/2 years.

Lenora was a lifelong member of the Hope United Methodist Church in Wellston, where she belonged to the United Methodist Women’s group. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes football fan and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Lenora is survived by her sisters, Betty L. Price of Jacksonville, Fla. and Dorothy “Joanne” Wilbur of Wellston; sister-in-law, Laura Morris of Port Charlotte, Fla.; nieces and nephews, L. Dale Wilbur (Maria) of Tampa, Fla., Paul M. Wilbur (Jane) of Wellston, Marcia Kotowski (Dennis) of Salem, Oh., Terry Price (Sherry) of MacClenny, Fla., Teresa Kientz (Brian) of Jacksonville, Fla., Jim Price (Jayne) of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Cheryl Lynn Morris of Alabama, Mary Ellen Morris of Alabama, Keith “Bo” Morris, Jr. of Chillicothe, Oh., Debby Wolfe (Jim) of Washington, C.H., Oh., Lenora Butcher (Oscar) of Washington C.H., Oh., Ruth Garringer (Gordon) of Washington C.H. Oh., as well as several great- and great-great-nieces, -nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Perkins in 1964; brothers, John Morris, Harry Keith Morris, Loren Dale Morris and Glen Dean Morris, and her sisters, Frances Morris and Virginia Darnell.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston Funeral service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with John Pelletier, CLP officiating.
