Lena Darlene (Yeager) Burton

Lena Darlene (Yeager) Burton, age 54, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 7, 2020 at her home in Oak Hill.  She was born Oct. 15, 1966 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Charles Eugene and Joanne Yeager. 

She is survived by her husband, Dwayne Burton, Sr.; sons: DJ (Nikki) Burton, Bobby Burton, and Walker Burton, all of Jackson; grandchildren: Kylee Bako, Maddie Wright, Addie and Weston Burton, Amber Burton, and Brian and Moriah.  Also surviving are her siblings, Belinda (Bill) Crabtree, Pamela Little, and Michael (Brenda) Yeager; nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews: Todd (Beckie) Snyder, Greg (Kristy) Snyder, Kyle Snyder, Evan and Eli Canter, Noah and Ava, Kimmy (Mike) Clark, Matthew Crabtree, Connor, Lucinda, Benjamin Moore, Aaron, (Angela) Little, Alex, Ryleigh, Caleb and Titus, Abraham (Paula) Little, Savannah, Silas, Zaylor and Jorja, Sara Friddle, Joseph Anteby, Miriam (Todd) Pedrys, Nathaniel Madison, Beth Ann Saunders, Devin, James, Mason and Kyleigh, Jamie Yeager, and Dalton and Taylor; special friend Shawn Leonard; and several other relatives and friends. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Charles Yeager and grandparents, Darlene and Elza Moore and Luciene Denny. Lena was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church of Oak Hill.  She graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1985.  She enjoyed cooking, coloring, and spending time with her family. 

Friends may call Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Pastors Bucky Shumate and Cline Rawlins officiating.  Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill.  Per CDC guidelines and governor recommendations, everyone is asked to wear a mask while indoors and practice proper social distancing procedures.  Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com
