Lee Anna Willis

Lee Anna Willis, age 94, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at her home. 

She was born January 14, 1927 in Jackson County, Ohio, daughter of the late John Frederick Lewis and Elizabeth Mae Edwards Lewis.  Lee Anna was a graduate of Buckeye Hills School of Nursing.  She was an LPN who retired from Adena Medical Center, where she was employed for several years.  Lee Anna was a member of the Puritan Free Will Baptist Church and she enjoyed fishing, gardening, spending time with her family and mostly spoiling her grandchildren. 

She is survived by her children: James Willis (Charlotte), John Willis and Martha Willis; sister, Candace Thaxton; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Besides her parents, Lee Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Edward A. Willis, Jr. in 2006; sons, Larry Willis and Dick Willis; son-in-law, Glen Combs; grandsons, Steven Willis and Shane Willis; and brothers, John, Eddie and Danny Lewis. 

Calling hours will be Sunday, March 21, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Pastor Tim Jones officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Lee Anna’s funeral service will be live-streamed on the McWilliams Funeral Home website starting at 2 p.m. Sunday.  For those choosing to attend the services, facial coverings are required inside the building along with the practice of social distancing.
