Lee Alec Blair

Lee Alec Blair, age 68, of Valley Mills, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in a Waco hospital, surrounded by family. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 20 at the Searsville Country Church near Valley Mills. Interment followed at Valley Mills Cemetery.

Lee was born on March 3, 1946, in Logan, Ohio, to Alec Blair and Winifred Cherrington. Lee grew up and went to school in the Jackson, Ohio area. He joined the U.S. Navy, and later attended Purdue University, earning a degree in telecommunications.

He married Jessica Ann Lyster on March 4, 1978, in Illinois. They raised five children in Georgia before retiring from the nuclear power industry after 30 years and moving to the ranch. He was a devoted and faithful member of Searsville Country Church in Valley Mills.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jessie Ann Blair; his sons, Chris Blair of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Daniel Blair and wife, Brandi, of Valley Mills, Robert Wenberg and wife, Cathy, of Portland, Oregon, and David Wenberg and wife, Jessica of Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter, Sara-Elizabeth Cottrell and husband, Joshua, of Louisville, Kentucky; two brothers, Larry Blair and Lynn Blair; two sisters, Shirley Blair and Susan Rogers; and nine grandchildren.
