Laura Jeannie (Wasmer) Foster

Laura Jeannie (Wasmer) Foster died suddenly at home on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021 at the age of 94.  She was born Oct. 1, 1926 in Jackson to the late Kelley and Ada (Humphries) Wasmer. 

She is survived by her sons, Gary, Mike and Larry (JoAnne) Foster; sisters, Ilo June Knotts, Caralee Moser, Shirley Bowman, Sue Barnett and Toni Miller; brother, Bob (Tish) Wasmer; brother-in-law, Bill Shelton; grandchildren, Todd Foster, Heather Van Peete, Shane Foster and Mindy Foster; and great-grandchildren, Riley Van Peete, Jonathon, Grayson and Mattie Foster. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Foster; brothers, Joe Wasmer, Danny Wasmer and Bill Wasmer; sisters, Sandy Shelton and Loretta Galbraith; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl Foster. 

Jeannie was a life-long member of the Moose.  She loved spending her winters in Florida with her sister, June.  In her younger years she loved golfing and bowling.  She also enjoyed  playing cards and visiting with her family and friends.   

Friends may call Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson.  Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m.  Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
