Larry “Stretch” Russell, 70, of Jackson passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at his home. He was born on May 5, 1951, in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Harold W. and Minia White Russell. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Scott William Russell; sister, Ethel Adams; and brothers: William and Charles Russell.

He is survived by his wife, Penny Snider Russell; children: Larry Gene Russell Jr., Jacquelynn Snider and Kayla Snider-Fritts; sister, Cora (John) Ison; brothers: Randolph Russell and James “Jim” Russell; sister-in-law, Becky Russell; grandchildren: Headon Russell, Lorre Russell, Kamron Russell, Jensyn Schoonover, Jaedyn Schoonover, Keke Burguss, Dayton Russell and Reyna Antal; great granddaughter, Haizley; as well as several nieces, nephews and many close friends.

“Stretch” enjoyed working on cars, operating his own shop in Jackson, loved derbys, old hot rods and rat rods, and just riding the roads with his good friend Chris Wyatt and his wife.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2021, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Fairmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.mayhew-brownfuneralhome.com.
