Larry Gray

Larry Gray, 71, of Wellston, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home in Wellston. He was born on March 12, 1949, in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Lamar and Thelma (Remy) Gray. Larry was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the outdoors and a lover of animals of all kinds. He loved football and was a dedicated Cleveland Browns fan. Much to his family’s dismay he was also a fan of Michigan. He will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived by his children:  Nilkki, Heather, and Kim Gray, Kevin (Pam) Burns, and Todd (Beth) Burns; brother, Donald Gray; sisters, Angie Jones, and Becky (Dennis) Zawol; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; son, Rick Burns; sisters, Karen Geer, Nellie Bolton, and sister and brother-in-law, Lonnie and Howard Strickland.

A funeral service celebrating Larry’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home also on Wednesday two hours prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Larry’s name may be made to a local food bank or animal shelter of your choice.
