Kenneth Lee Wonders

Kenneth Lee Wonders, age 70, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2014, at his home. He was born October 19, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio to Cletus Goland Wonders and Wilma Jean Ladd Wonders.

Kenny was a 1961 graduate of Northridge North High School in Licking County. He was a former sheet metal mechanic for 42 years with Sheet Metal Local #98. Kenny was a former active member of the Puritan Free Will Baptist Church, where he enjoyed the fellowship with his church family and being involved with the church youth. He presently attended World Outreach in Wellston. Kenny enjoyed Enduro riding. He was also mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on all of his machinery, as well as being an avid carpenter. Kenny was a Jack of all trades.

He is survived by his mother, Wilma Jean Wonders Ford of Pataskala; his wife, whom he married on November 21, 1964, Anita Saunders Wonders; four children, Shawna (Dave) Richards, Shannon (Kenneth) Cooper, Holly (Jon) Henry and Shad (Jade) Wonders, all of Wellston; grandchildren, Brittany Richards, Amanda (John) Baldwin, Andrew Richards, Jessica Cooper, Josie Cooper, Katelyn Henry, Jacob Henry and Shadrach Wonders; sisters, Diana (Alec) Thompson of Newark and Darlene Wonders of Newark; brothers, Cletus (Joy) Wonders of Mt. Vernon and Wayne (Kim) Wonders of Johnstown, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Carl Wonders, and sister, Phyllis Wonders.

Calling hours were set for Tuesday, February 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamden Cemetery.
