Kaye House

Kaye House, age 63, of Wellston, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, March 28, 2021, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio following a battle with a very aggressive type of cancer. 

She was born December 5, 1957 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Homer Harold House and Mary Catherine Partlow House.  Kaye was a 1976 graduate of Wellston High School.  In June of 1976, Kaye married Earl Ireland, and to this union were born 2 sons. 

She later received an Associate Degree in Business Management from the University of Rio Grande in 1997, a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Arizona in 2011, and an Associate’s Degree in Medical Billing and Coding from the University of Phoenix in 2013.  

Kaye loved her job traveling all over the United States as an expediter for the past 10 years.  She was also a “Find A Grave” volunteer, who had fulfilled a photo request in 48 of the 50 contiguous United States.  Kaye loved to travel and sight see, along with hiking, which in her ventures included portions of the Appalachian Trail. 

She also enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Kaye was also always faithful in taking care of and decorating numerous family grave sites. 

She is survived by her son, Matthew Jay Ireland, and his fiancé, Brittany Gibson; grandchildren, Matthew Ireland, Jr., Jeremiah Ireland, Katelyn Ireland and Hudson Ireland; sister, Kathy Douglas; brother, Glenn House; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Besides her parents, Kaye was preceded in death by her son, Earl Jay Ireland, Jr., who was born March 17, 1978, and passed away September 17, 1979. 

In keeping with Kaye’s wishes, her body was cremated.  Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Ridgewood Cemetery, where her ashes will be placed with her son, Jay.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given in Kaye’s name to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of American, 1235 South Clark Street, Suite 305, Arlington, Va. 22202.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
