Kathy Jeanne Fannin

It is with great sadness that the family of Kathy Jeanne Fannin announces her unexpected passing at her home following a brief illness.

Kathy was born March 3, 1957 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late George & Lillian Fannin. She grew up in Jackson, Ohio and graduated from Jackson High School, Class of 1975. After graduation she went to work at the Sundry and News, later joining the Walmart team when Walmart first opened in Jackson. She was an avid Jackson Ironmen, OSU Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, and Elvis fan. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, friends, and canine companions, Tucker and Brutus.

She is survived by sisters-in law, Janet, Sylvia, and Debbie Fannin; brother-in law, Ray McManaway; nieces and nephews: Veronica (Ralph) Bland, Pat (Peggy) Fannin, Polly (Steve) Hardwick, Tina (Bob) Kinnamon, Greg (Julie) Fannin, Chris (Sela) Fannin, Stephanie, (Wes) Moan, Rick (Cathy) McManaway, Randy (Michelle) McManaway, Becky (Rob) Stewart, Gail Kelly (Steve), Dionne (Richard) Fout, and Bo Caudill; special family friends, Karen and Roger Deardorff; along with several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews and many friends. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Don, Dave, and Gary Fannin; sister, Betty McManaway; sisters-in law, Marilyn and Maxine Fannin; nephew, Wade Fannin; and nieces, Karen Fannin and Debbie Caudill.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Janie Karl officiating. Burial services will be arranged at the convenience of the family.
