Kathleen “Kat” Wallace

Kathleen R. “Kat” Wallace, age 73, of Wellston, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018, at Four Winds Community. She was born October 30, 1944 in Wellston, Ohio, daughter of the late Elmer H. Daily and Garnet Sprinkles Daily.

Kat was a former proud construction worker for Shelly and Sands. In her earlier years, she was the owner of K & V Grocery in Wilkesville. Kat loved to sing, and approximately 20 years ago, went to Nashville and made a recording demo of which she was very proud of. She was also an artist who enjoyed painting sceneries of nature. Kat was a strong supporter of animal rights and the Disabled American Veterans organization. She is survived by her husband, Charles E. “Toby” Wallace; sons, Larry Kruskamp, Jr. of Wellston, Tim Kruskamp of Maine, and Joshua Wallace of Oak Hill; step-children, Shannon Wallace of West Virginia, Heather Wallace of Kentucky, Karrie Wallace of Wellston and Mitch Wallace of Kentucky; sisters, Margie Lambert of Florida, Judy Denny of Wellston, Virginia Spires of Carroll, and Sue Leach of Wellston; brothers, Jack Daily of Coalton, Dick Daily of Richmond Dale, and Bumper Daily of Chesapeake; along with 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry G. Kruskamp, Sr., and her brother, Gary Daily.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 6 P.M. with Pastor Don Kincaid officiating. In keeping with Kat’s wishes, cremation will follow the service.
