Julia L. Strawser, age 68, of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born on October 5, 1947 in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Ralph W. and Frances (Young) Dement.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” R. Strawser, and an infant son, Joshua Strawser.
She is survived by her children, Jon Strawser and Jeff (Jody) Strawser; grandchildren: Paige, Madison and Dalten Strawser; and brothers and sister: Rodney (Laura) Dement, Francie (Sam) Loomis, and Meridith (Jack) Walker.
Julia was a travel agent with AAA for 15 years; a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church; active with the senior citizens and loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 24 at 6 p.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.
