Judy (Hill) Thomas, age 77 of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson on Friday, May 21, 2021.
She was born in Knott County, Kentucky on December 12, 1943 to the late Nathan and Rosie Bolen. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hill, and four brothers and sisters: Ford Bolen, Edison Bolen, Sylvia Hicks, and June Bolen.
She is survived by her son, Jeffrey A. Bolen (Debbie Andrews); grandchildren: Jeffrey (Ashley) Bolen and Joel Bolen; and great-grandchildren: Brennon Bolen and another expected great-grandson. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Judy was still working as a teacher’s aide for Jackson City Schools as she had for 26 years. She loved working with the children. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, sitting on her porch and riding the side-by-side.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, May 24 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home, with Pastor Charles Isaac officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 1 p.m. until the service time at 5 p.m.
