Joshua Blevins

Joshua M. Blevins, age 36, of St. Augustine, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 16, 2021, after a car accident. He was born in Gallipolis, Ohio on July 31, 1985. Josh was a 2003 graduate of Oak Hill High School. At the time of his passing Josh was employed by Easterday Farms in Elkton, Florida. 

Josh is survived by his father, Malcom Blevins of Oak Hill, Ohio and his mother, Luanne Queen (Kevin Ratcliff) of St. Augustine, Florida. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two daughters: Kirstin Blevins of Oak Hill and Mercydes Blevins of St. Augustine, Florida; his fiancé, Brittany Laudermilt of St. Augustine, Florida; sister, Brittany (Patrick) Murphy of Lucasville, Ohio; niece and nephew Ashley and Elijah; grandmothers: Fern Blevins of Jackson and Dorothy “Dottie” Queen of Oak Hill; aunts and uncles: Melinda Current of Woodstock, Ohio, Teresa Berry of Wellston, Charlotte Blevins of Port Orange, Florida, Rita Blevins of Imperial, Missouri, Fawn Blevins and Bruce Galliamore of Oak Hill, Samantha Blevins of Jackson, Mike (Debbie) Queen of Oak Hill, Gregg (Jeannette) Queen of Lancaster, Randy (Tami) Queen of Columbus, Ohio and Jeff (Trina) Queen of Jackson; as well as several cousins.

Joshua is preceded in death by his grandfathers: J.B. Blevins and Luther Queen of Oak Hill; his brother, Christopher Blevins of Oak Hill; his cousin, Marisa Faith Berry of Jackson; and his uncle Matthew Current of Woodstock, Ohio. 

Josh loved the water all his life and enjoyed the beaches in Florida. He loved spending time with his family, watching movies, collecting knives and fishing. He had the biggest heart, and he never knew a stranger. He will be missed by his many friends and family.  

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Wesleyan Church in Oak Hill, Ohio with Fred Crabtree officiating. For those attending the memorial service, facial coverings are required along with social distancing, because Josh would want his family and friends safe at this time. Reception to follow in the Fellowship Hall.
