Joreen Watts McMillen

Joreen Watts McMillen, age 61, passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2018 at Edgewood Manor after an extended illness. Joreen was born Oct. 12, 1956 in Gallipolis, Ohio, daughter of the late Richard and Evelyn Watts. She was a 1975 graduate of Jackson High School and Buckeye Hill School of Nursing in 1984. She worked in many geriatric nursing homes in Ohio and West Virginia during her LPN career and loved working with the elderly. She was an animal lover, enjoyed playing bingo, watching the Ohio State Buckeyes, Nascar, and all things that sparkled like her personality.

Joreen is survived by her daughters, Cortney (Andrew) Kincaid of Jackson, Ohio and Kayla (Nicholas) McMillen-VanMalderen of Dublin, Ohio; grandson, Landon Kincaid; sisters: Krystal Wilson of Jackson, Ohio and Valeria (Rick) Hersman of Parkersburg, West Virginia; niece, Bronwyn (Mark) Ginty of Gahanna, Ohio; great-niece and great-nephew, Maeve and Spencer Ginty; good friend, Diane Smith; and furry baby, Daisy.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one nephew, Broderick Wilson.

Visitation will be held at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 from 5 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com
