Jonathan D. (“Jay”) Harrison

Jonathan D. (“Jay”) Harrison, born April 30, 1963, joined his friends and family at a supper for new arrivals in Heaven on October 23, 2016 at the age of 53. He added a special star to twinkle for his son and grandson.

Jonathan married Carolyn (Adkins) Chiccola on January 21, 1989. They were blessed with a son, Lukas “Hippie” Harrison and a grandson, Jayden Harrison.

He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Ralph “Jack” and Donna (Nichols) Harrison.

In addition to his wife, son and grandson, he is survived by his siblings, Dave Harrison, of San Antonio, TX, Tim (Sally) Harrison, of Salvisa, KY, and Shari Pick, of West Portsmouth. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends.

He served with the United States Air Force, Virginia Army National Guard and Ohio Army National Guard, Ohio Air National Guard, retiring after 20 years. He was a good man, a great patriot and a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He most recently attended the Old Country Church Tabernacle.

Friends may call Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bryon Carmon officiating.
