Jeffrey Glen Staton (“Pencil”), age 50, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at OSU Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Staton, Sr. and Ruth Matilda Staton as well as a brother, Richard Staton.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Tina” Staton; daughter, Karen Barlow and son, Charles Staton, all of Gallipolis, Ohio; four grandchildren, Ivy, John, Alexis and Tyler Barlow; two sisters, Kathy Maynard and Barb Trapp of Oak Hill; three brothers, Herman Staton Jr. of Oak Hill, Paul Staton of Troy, Ohio and Charles Caldwell of Arkansas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Elza Green officiating and burial to follow C.M. Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 20, 2012.
