James Malone

James Albert Malone, 66, of Jackson went home to be with the LORD on Saturday April 9, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born March 29, 1956, in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late James D. and Mary A. Hughes Malone. He was a member of the Bethesda Church, the Sideliners Club, he volunteered for many years with the Jackson Pee Wee Football Program and also enjoyed donating his time to the Jackson D.A.V. Bingo. He was a dedicated Jackson IronMan and a Columbus Blue Jackets Fan. However, his true love was for the Oakland Raiders!

He is survived by his wife and best friend of 46 years, Sherry Lynn Ross Malone; his children: Keith (April) Malone and Jeff (Marilyn) Malone; sister, Mary (Keith) Gilliland; grandchildren: Kevin, Kaya, Brooklyn and Alexis; and great-grandchildren: Grayson and Elizabeth. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many close friends and family.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Bentley officiating and burial to follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Family and friends may gather from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the DAV building in Jackson, Ohio for a celebration of life dinner.
