James “Jim” A. Rister, age 62, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019 at Holzer of Gallipolis. He was born April 21, 1958 to the late Leslie Rister Sr. and Mildred (Seels) Rister.
Jim is survived by brothers, Floyd (Ruby) Rister of Jackson, Ohio and Leslie Rister Jr. of Jackson, Ohio; sisters, Judith Martin of Oak Hill, Ohio, Eleanor (Elmer) Miller of Dayton, Ohio, Violet Knisley and Bessie Hare, both of Jackson, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Carmella Rister.
Per his wishes no services will be held. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisgillum.com
