James Gregory Mathews (“Brunie”), age 55, of Oak Hill, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born December 8, 1957 in Portsmouth, OH to Rosemary (Simpson) Mathews and the late James L. Mathews. He worked for Ron Evans Enterprises for many years. He graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1975.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his special friend, Regina McClure; sister, Susan (Rick) Wisecup; brother, Jack (Karen) Mathews; nephew, Matthew Wisecup; nieces, Lauren (Derek) Herbruck, Leah and Mckenna Herbruck; and nephew, Mark Mathews. He was also close to Shannon and Damon Hill, Deacon and Dalyah Hill and Joshua McClure.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill.
