It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of James Allen Carper of Alvin, TX on May 13, at the age of 54.
He will be forever remembered by his beloved wife, Tanya Eloina Carper; daughter, Abigail Leigh Carper (Cody Brooks); granddaughter, Layla Mae Brooks; father, William Ira (Bill) Carper; brother, William Ira (Beau) Carper, Jr. (Jodi Kelley Carper); sister, Amy Dawson (John Dawson); and eight adoring nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his sister, Tamarah Lou Carper; his mother, Lou Farley Carper; his mother-in-law, Emma Maria De La Barrera; and his father-in-law, Rafael De La Barrera.
Jim graduated from Jackson High School in 1987 and served in the U.S. Army before ultimately making his home in Texas. He was best known by loved ones for his unwavering loyalty, astounding bravery, irresistible sense of humor, exceptional work ethic and, in summary, his absolute dedication to family, faith and country. He was cherished and will be sorely missed.
A private service was held at his home in Alvin, Texas.
