Jemima Sue Jarvis 71, of Parkersburg, passed away in Columbus on November 10, 2014.

She was born February 14, 1943 in Emmitt, WV, a daughter of the late George Harrison Jarvis and Nancy Music Williamson. Sue was self employed as an owner of a retail store, “A-Z Bookstore.”

She is survived by her friend and companion, Mikki Buck; two daughters, Bobbie Montgomery of Columbus, Ohio, Jemima Suzette Williams of Parkersburg and two sons, Garrett Pittenger of Columbus, Ohio and Joe Pittenger of Hilliard, Ohio; sisters, Margaret Rodriguez of Stanton Island, NY and Fayette Stone of Handon, Ohio; one brother, Tom Jarvis of Lima, Ohio; grandchildren, Jemima JayJohn, Amy Povemba, Freda Sams, Tommy Crowther, Angla Messick, J.J. Pittenger, Alyssa Francis, Alex Francis, Airel Francis, Aiden Pittenger and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Garrett Williams; one daughter, Christina Williams; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Murray and JoAnn Savage; and seven brothers, Bill, Timothy, Johnny, Vernon, Don and Roger Jarvis and Douglas Stone.

Funeral services for Sue will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, WV, with Pastor Jim Lynch officiating and burial at approximately 2 p.m. at Ridgewood Cemetery, 203 E. Broadway St., Wellston, Ohio.

Visitation will be on Friday at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour before the service on Saturday.
