Helen (Terry) Yinger

Helen (Terry) Yinger, age 90, of Jackson, went home to be with the lord on Wednesday, September 4, 2013. She was born May 21, 1923 in Jackson, the eldest daughter of the late Siegel Terry Sr. and Emza Terry.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Siegel Terry Jr., and Ansel Terry; grandson, Scott Yinger; and son-in-law, Jim Lafon.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Ernest Yinger; one special adopted daughter, Jeanie Lloyd, of Jackson; five children, Clint Yinger, Jane (Yinger) Dearing, both of Jackson, Terry Yinger of West Chester, Larry Yinger of Salem, NH, and Peggy (Yinger) Lafon of Proctorville; three sisters, Madona Roberts of Fruitland Park, FL, Mina Rife of Xenia, Jean Hopkins of Mansfield; one brother, Dale Terry of Magnolia, TX; sisters-in-law, Mable (Yinger) Maloney, Maxine (Yinger) Donaldson, and Doris (Leach) Terry. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild; many nieces, nephews, son-in-laws, and daughter-in-laws, and more friends and neighbors than can be counted.

She was a member of Buckeye Community Baptist Church for more than 60 years.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Kennedy and the entire staff of Holzer Hospital in Jackson for the care and comfort they have given to the family during this most difficult time.

Funeral directions are under the direction of Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson, OH. Friends and family may call on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 7, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Allie Skaggs officiating.
