A Birthday Party for Wellston founder Harvey Wells will be held May 27 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Harvey Wells House, 403 E. “A” Street, Wellston. Wells will be 166 years old this year.
Refreshments will be served, tours will be given of the Wells House, and memorabilia and memberships will be for sale. The birthday party is open to all ages.
Harvey’s house will also be safer and prettier for the event since the Wellston Historical Association is getting ready to do some landscaping projects.
At 3 p.m., a procession will be made to the Harvey Wells grave site in nearby Ridgewood Cemetery.
