Harvey Earl “Sonny” Hale II, age 37, of Wellston, passed away Friday, July 2, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born September 23, 1983, in Gallipolis, Ohio to Harvey Earl Hale and Barbara Fern Branscomb Hale. Sonny was a truck driver and a welder by trade. He always enjoyed listening to live music and attending concerts, and he loved spending time with his family, especially his children, nieces and nephews.
Sonny is survived by his mother, Barbara Hale; children, Haley, Kayden, Aunna and Brittany; brother, Mike Simms (Debbie); sisters, Rebecca Hale and Heather Hale; nephews, Micheal, Jordie, Matthew and Brandon; significant other, Kim Nicholson, and her daughter, Maddi; along with several cousins and friends. Sonny was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Hale; and grandparents, Rev Everett and Marjorie Branscomb and Allen and Rosialee Hale.
Calling hours will be Saturday, July 10 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. In keeping with Sonny’s wishes, cremation will follow the visitation.
