Gerald V. “Gary” Perry

Gerald V. “Gary” Perry, age 60, of Hamden, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends at his home on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020.  He was born Jan. 10, 1960, in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late Wesley Gordon Perry and Mary Welch Perry. 

Gary was a 1978 graduate of Wellston High School and a former employee of Greenbright Lawn Care.  Gary loved being outdoors, mowing grass and sitting on the porch watching his grand-babies run across the yard.  He also enjoyed hunting, watching all types of racing and whatever football team that was winning on T.V.  Gary was a member of Church of Christ Bethel Congregation.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sherry L. Mace Perry; children, Em Perry (Stephanie) and Michael Perry (Kara), all of Hamden; grandchildren, Jocelyn, Eldon, Lenora, William, Wyatt and Willa; brothers and sisters, Melvin Hill (Elaine), Wes Perry (Carla), Innis Ewing (Eddie), Jim Perry and Clarice Perry (Frank Brown), all of Wellston; along with several aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his best buddy, his dog, Skip. 

Calling hours will be Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will be Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Evangelist Patrick Gamp officiating.  Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery.
