George E. Markin, age 66, of Jackson, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, at his residence.
He was born March 29, 1955, in Wellston, Ohio, to George Stanley Markin and Katheryn Pendleton Markin. George was a veteran of the United States Army and was a former self-employed truck driver for over 24 years. In years past, he attended Radcliff Fellowship Church.
George is survived by his father, George Markin; his companion of over 20 years, Sherry Thompson; sons, George Andrew Lambert, Jeremy Lee Markin and Joshua David Markin; step-children, Chance Thompson, Bobbi Thompson, Jeremy Thompson and Tobi Thompson; sister, Pam Clemons; brother, Charlie Markin; along with several grandchildren. George was preceded in death by his mother, Katheryn Markin; brothers, Gary Markin and Kevin Markin; and one grandchild.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 5, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Dick Moore officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Radcliff Cemetery.
