Geneva Russell Patterson

Geneva Russell Patterson, age 88, of Glen Roy, passed away Monday, June 15, 2015, at the Jenkins Care Community in Wellston. She was born October 29, 1926 in Lawrence County, Ohio to the late William Henderson “Henry” Lambert and Sarah Evelyn Bowens Lambert.

Geneva was a loving housewife and homemaker and was a former employee of Thermalite in Columbus. She was a member of the American Motorcycle Association and she loved to be outside, where she enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers.

Geneva is survived by three daughters, Myra Kaye Oiler of Wellston; Tamara Dawn Waugh (Kevin) of Jackson and Carol Diane Johnson (Nathaniel) of Wellston; nine grandchildren, David Lee Oiler, Kristina Nalls (Justin), Michael Russell, Nicole McCabe (John), Nicholas Russell, Tyler Russell, Heather Waugh, Nathaniel Johnson and Ashley Double (Jon); daughter-in-law, Barbara Russell Torsney of Massachusetts, as well as 10 great-grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, seven step great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Max Russell; second husband, Arthur Patterson; son, Max Kenneth Russell, Jr.; four brothers and eight sisters.

At the family’s request, her body was cremated. Graveside service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Real Friends Cemetery in Pattonsville.
