Freddie J. Cook

Freddie J. Cook, age 72, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. He was born October 20, 1944 in Kentucky to the late Pierce and Edith (Gibson) Cook.

He is survived by daughters, Cortney Cook and Amanda Crawford; son, Mathew Cook; grandchildren, Erica (Mason) Gallmeyer, Kylie Cook, Erin Cook, Colin Sturgill, Aiden Massie and Grayson Mollett; brothers, Daral (Sue Anne) Cook, Charles (Kathy) Cook, Cecil (Lori) Cook, Kenny (Cathy) Cook, Greg Cook and Barkley (Becky) Cook; sister, Sharon (Jim) Huddleston; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and special friends, Renee (Mike) Sturgill, Tom Long, Larry Taylor, Dick Miller and Matt Mollett.

Freddie was a NASCAR fanatic and loved watching westerns. He loved his children and his local hometown community. He knew everyone and would do anything for anyone.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jamie Cook and daughter, Laureen Sturgill.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with burial to follow in Pattonsville Cemetery.
