Reverend Frank B. Salyers, age 87 of Jackson, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 12, 2017. Frank was born to the late Thomas and Myrtle Perkins Salyers in Greenup, Kentucky on June 15, 1929. He was joined in marriage on October, 21, 1947 to Stella McCormick Salyers. Frank is survived by his daughters: Virginia (Louis) Burch, Kathy (Kenneth) White, Angela (Douglas) Duhl and Melissa (Thomas) Faught, son: James (Rita) Salyers, 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, sister: Hazel Brunton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his precious wife Stella, daughters: Nancy Simpson and Dianna Gillenwater, granddaughter: Linda Gillenwater White and great grandson Zachary Duhl.
Frank was a member of Trippieville United Baptist Church and served as the Pastor for over 30 years. He continued to witness and teach the gospel throughout his life and his firm belief in God remained evident, even after his health began to fail.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday March 15, 2017 at the Trippieville United Baptist Church with Reverend James Holbrook and Reverend Sammy Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman Cemetery on Springer Road near Limerick. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday March 14, 2017 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home.
