Floyd Edwin Callahan, Jr., age 61, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at his home after an extended illness. He was born July 22, 1952 to Floyd, Sr. and Joan (Jones) Callahan, of Jackson, Ohio.

Floyd (Ed) was a 1970 graduate of Jackson High School, a Vietnam Veteran in the United States Navy, and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Anne (Armstrong) Callahan; daughter, Megan Callahan of Gallipolis, Ohio; his parents; brothers, Bill Callahan of Dayton, Ohio and Tom (Amy) Callahan of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; nephew, Evan; nieces, Caitlin and Brenna; brothers and sisters-in-law, Chloe Marshment, Marsha and Terry Lloyd, Susan Michael, Dick and Brenda Armstrong, and Don and Karen Armstrong; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifford and Elsa Callahan and T. Herman and Sarah Jones; as well as his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dale and Wylodine Armstrong.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Goodall officiating. Burial will follow in the Hanna Cemetery with military graveside services being provided by the DAV, Chapter 45, of Jackson, Ohio.
