Evelyn Rosemary (Williams) Adkins

Evelyn Rosemary (Williams) Adkins, age 59, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Oakwood Community Health in Jackson, Ohio. She was born Jan. 16, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Homer and Elizabeth (Rhoden) Williams of Oak Hill, Ohio.

Evelyn was a 1981 graduate of Oak Hill High School. She was kind, caring, and generous. She would give anything to anyone if they needed it and she had it. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was the best sister and friend. She loved to have a good time. She enjoyed singing, karaoke, dancing, crocheting, latch hook, and being on her computer. She was also a great cook and she loved to eat. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She spent her whole life being a loving and caring mother to her two sons. Her grandsons were the joy of her life and she loved them beyond measure. She had given her life to Jesus and heaven just received one of the best. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her sons, Timmy (Mary) Owens and Christopher (Caitlyn) Owens; grandsons: Ryan Scott Owens, Tristen Michael Owens, Christopher Jr. “C.J.” Owens, Gage Timothy Owens, Zach Lee Thomas, and Roger D. Wood III; sister, Judy (David) Eggers; brother, Gilbert Ray Williams; aunt, Betty Carter; nieces: Brenda Eggers, Deanna (Brett) Ruhl, and Tammy (Brooks) Hensley; nephews: Brian (Marcia) Eggers, Brad (Heather) Zornes, Chester (Andrea) Dawson Jr., Tommy Zornes, and Larry (Jill) Davis; great-nieces: Maddison Eggers, Alyssa Zornes, Lynley Ruhl, Piper Dawson, Katie Zornes, and Jima Zornes; great-nephews: Tyler Eggers, Drew Zornes, Dawson Ruhl, Maverick Dawson, Stephen Zornes, Luke Davis, and Dylan Davis; brothers-in-law, Dale Zornes, Gary Trapp, and Chester Dawson; and sister-in-law, Nancy (Ray) Davis Williams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Jack and Lucy (Jarrell) Rhoden; paternal grandparents, George and Cora (Canter) Williams; sisters: Betty Zornes, Norma Jean Trapp, Lynn Dawson, and infant sister, Carolyn Ruth Williams; infant grandson, Wyatt Lee Owens; aunts: Ethel Hall, Hazel Cox, Louise Wadkins, Plina Mae Rhoden, Anna Mae Rhoden, and Mayme Jenkins; uncles: Jack Rhoden Jr., Mason Rhoden, Chester “Chuck” Rhoden, and Sam Price; nephews, Joshua David Eggers and infant, Adam Andrew Trapp.

Per her wishes, no calling hours will be held. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
