Elsie Mae Howard, age 94, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away at her home on Wednesday, September 18, 2013. She was born May 28, 1919 to the late Albert and Pauline (Clark) Kuhn. Elsie was a member of the Beauty of Holiness Church in Jackson, Ohio.
Elsie is survived by nine children, Dollie Snyder of Albany, Indiana, Juanita Howard of Oak Hill, Ohio, Carol Weyer of Castalia, Ohio, John Howard, Stanley Howard, Garnet Crace, and Darrell Howard, all of Oak Hill, Ohio, Larry Howard of Sun City West, Arizona, and Steve Howard of Castalia, Ohio; five sisters, Francis McGowan and Shirley Sheline, both of Oak Hill, Ohio, Marilyn Gray of Oak Hill, Ohio, Ruthie Dyer of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Jeanie Mullins of South Portsmouth, Kentucky; three brothers, Rick Kuhn and Paul Dean Kuhn, both of South Webster, Ohio, and David Kuhn of Washington Courthouse, Ohio; 22 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer A. Howard; one son, Roger Howard; three brothers and one sister.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill, Ohio. Friends were to call on Friday, September 20, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Robbins officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery, Oak Hill, Ohio.
