Eleanor Fern (Perry) Tobert, age 74, went home to be with Jesus while at home surrounded by her family on August 19, 2016. She was born on February 7, 1942 in Oak Hill, Ohio, to the late Landon and Nancy (Douglas) Perry.
She was married to Donald E. Tobert for 50 years. Their home was blessed with six children. Four daughters: Theresa (Pat) Pratt, Penny (Allen) Wilkerson, Doddie (David) Cochran and Carla (Jay) Sharp, and their two sons: Perry (Laura) Tobert and Donald (Angie) Tobert. She is also survived by three grandsons: Joshua and Jordan Roe and Tyler (Jeyra) Hickman, five granddaughters: Caylie, Alli, Morgan, Peyton and Kaylin, and one great-grandson, Jace Michael, brother, Landon (Bonnie) Perry, sisters, Lana Yates and Jill (Roy) McCarty. She is also loved and will be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Eleanor was preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen, brothers: Mose, Alray, Russell, Tim and Lowell, sisters: Mary Francis, Gretta, Sharon and Doddie.
Eleanor attended the Welcome Chapel Church for many years. The family would also like to offer a special thanks to the girls of Heartland Hospice Care for their wonderful care for Eleanor.
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, August 22, 2016 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at 6PM.
