Eileen Winkler Holzapfel

Eileen Holzapfel, of Wellston, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2014, after a short illness. She was born June 19, 1919, the daughter of the late Fred and Bertha Winkler, and was the wife of the late Henry Holzapfel, all of Wellston, Ohio.

She is survived by her daughter, Kris Holzapfel Walker; granddaughter, Hillary Walker Larkin and her husband, Marty Larkin; and great-grandchildren, Ivy and Alex Larkin, all of Upper Arlington. She is also survived by her son, Hank Holzapfel, his wife, Mary Ann Holzapfel of Alamo, California and grandsons, David Holzapfel and Matthew Holzapfel, and his wife, Ashley, respectively of Fort Collins and Windsor Colorado. Also surviving are her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Leonard and Garnetta Holzapfel of Wellston, and best friends, Joanne Skaj and family, and Harry Kitchen.

A graveside service only will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston with Pastor Brian Vinson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to The Humane Society of Jackson County, P.O. Box 1, Jackson, Ohio 45640 or to The Hospice Room, Jenkins Care Community, 142 Jenkins Memorial Road, Wellston, Ohio 45692.
