Edward Waugh, age 91, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012, at St. Ann’s Hospital, Westerville, Ohio. He was born in Jackson, Ohio, on June 9, 1921.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evie and Edna E. (Greene) Waugh; his wife of 66 years, Edna Mae (Duhl) Waugh; daughter, Martha Sue Waugh, and two brothers, Norman Waugh and Everett Waugh.
Edward was a 1940 graduate of Jackson High School, a WW II Army veteran, and was retired from the City of Columbus.
He is survived by daughter, Mary Isabel of Columbus; sisters, Jeanine Glaze of Columbus and Carolyn Sue Corbin of Rising Sun, Indiana; grandsons, Jeffrey Kern of Columbus and Jeffrey Walling of Mebane, North Carolina; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Nicole Walling of Durham, North Carolina.
Friends may call at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home Tuesday, December 18, from 4 to 6 p.m., where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 19, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Wendell Vermillion officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery, Wellston, Ohio.
