Earl Leienberger

Earl Leienberger, age 93, of Jackson, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Holzer Assisted Living in Jackson. He was born May 25, 1919 in Cincinnati Ohio to the late Albert and Levina (Scott) Leienberger.

He is survived by nieces, Treva Hanseman, Mona Sammons, Sharon (Gordon) Woosley, Kathy (Lamar) Callahan, Jane (Brian) Watters and Cheryl (Dennis) Whetstone; nephews, Ken (Debbie) Thinnes, Ron (Barbara) Gillum, Gary (Edie) Gillum, Jeff (Jeanne) Gillum and John (Connie) Gillum; and sister-in-law, Hazel (Gillum) Ward.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Gillum) Leienberger; brother, Albert Leienberger; sister, Alice Thinnes; nephews, Scott Leienberger and Michael Gillum.

He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church and he was a veteran of WW II Army Air Corps with the European Middle Eastern Campaign.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Jackson with Rev. Wendell Vermillion officiating. Burial will follow in South Webster Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church, 124 Locust Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
