Douglas W. Roush

Douglas W. Roush, age 75, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2014. He was born on October 6, 1938 in Letart, West Virginia to the late Douglas R. and Nannie (Foreman) Roush.

Known to his Shawnee Family as Red Eagle, Doug was very proud of his Native American heritage. He was a retired project manager with the Union Boiler Company and was an avid bass fisherman when he was able.

He is survived by his wife, Lili (Call) Roush; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberlee and Michael Burkhart of Vandalia, Ohio; daughter Melissa Roush of Oak Hill, Ohio, and nieces, Ashlee Burkhart of Tipp City, Ohio and Sarah Burkhart of Vandalia, Ohio. Also surviving are his sisters, Janice (Roush) Darling of Sarasota, Florida, Nancy (Roush) Woodard of Letart, West Virginia, and Debra Roush of Letart, West Virginia; and his brother, Ross Roush of Mason, West Virginia.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his sister, Patricia (Roush) Noel.

A memorial service will be held at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio, on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 2 p.m. Burial of the urn will follow at the Centerpoint Cemetery.
