Douglas Severt, 53, of Wellston, lost his courageous battle with cancer Friday, January 31, 2014. The son of late Herbert Severt and Margaret Severt of Dayton, he was born July 18, 1960, at Dayton. Douglas had many years of experience in the construction trades.
On July 10, 2003, he married Julianne Rogers at Wellston; she survives to mourn his passing. In addition to his mother and wife, other survivors include two step-daughters, Michelle and Dusti Sheets; brothers, Robert of Fairborne, OH, and Anthony and Timothy of Ewington, OH; sisters, Lois Severt of Louisville, KY, Carol (Dennis) White of Tipp City, OH and Barbara Bell of Cincinnati. Nieces and nephews, Miranda and Matthew White, Nikki Beckman, Brian Bell, and Kathy, Jennifer, Karen, Robin and Tina Severt, and his good friend, Marshall Hoeffler, also survive.
There will be no services at this time. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Huntley & Cremeens Funeral Home of Wellston.
