Sweet Dorothy (Wittkamp) Anders entered into heaven on Saturday, March 17th, 2018. She was always the most fun person at the party and was loved by everyone who met her. She loved making quilts for her family, and dolls and baby blankets for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was also believed, that Dorothy could make a rose bush bloom in the desert. One of her favorite activities was playing with her great-grandchildren, Brayley, Lewis, and Macy Anders who all loved her so much.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Charles II (Cheri) Anders; grandchildren: Charles III “Trey” (Nicole) Anders, Tyler Anders, Jeremy, Justin, and Jeffrey Chapman, and Bobby Koonce; daughter, Terry Chapman; siblings: Frank Wittkamp and Joseph (Sharon) Wittkamp, Irene Chapman, and Theresa Ross; and stepdaughter, Judy Sams, Tonya Koonce; and great-grandson, Kayden Bryant.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Slim” Anders; parents, Henry and Ella Wittkamp; son, Jerry Chapman; brothers, Johnny, Henry, and Robert Wittkamp; special sister, Mary Ellen Porter; and step-daughter, Ruby Sweatman.
Viewing hours will be held on Wednesday, March 21st, 2018 from 4-8PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 22nd, 2018 at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com
