Donald Edward (Sonny) Meacham, age 83, of Glenroy passed away peacefully on July 5, 2013 at home. He was born June 2, 1930 in Jefferson County, OH to the late Judson E. and Ruth E. (Poe) Meacham. He served in the Army from 1948-1952, 82nd Airborne Division.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Ruth (Norris) Meacham in 1993. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Virgil and John Meacham; sisters, Ruthie and Jo Anne Meacham and Margie Markham.
He is survived by 3 sons, Mike (Jennie) Meacham, Donald E. (Michele) Meacham, Jr., Tom (Geneva) Meacham; 1 daughter, Teri Jo (John) Gilliland, all of Jackson County. He is also survived by grandsons, Tommy Meacham, Judd Meacham, Dusty Gilliland, Zakary Meacham and Geoffrey Martin; granddaughters, Misty Miller, Jeradi Cooper, Tonya and Melinda Meacham; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
